Job Location: North America or Europe; PT Work from home with travel (~40%).

Description:

  • Support BlazeMeter in its Apache JMeter community building activities by running webinars and live Meetup sessions and representing BlazeMeter at some international events. Become the Jmeter evangelist sponsored by BlazeMeter both online and in person.

  • BlazeMeter is looking to build a team of JMeter Gurus who will represent the company at events, globally. This is a perfect position for Jmeter enthusiasts looking to supplement their income.

  • Perform the duties of the BlazeMeter evangelist with a strong focus on Apache JMeter and represent the company at events, globally. Plan the session topics and run inspiring webinars. Run, present and seek guest speakers for Jmeter Meetups. Current group is open in Silicon Valley.

  • Build and maintain a strong, consistent and consolidated community; act as a point of reference for this community in its growth, opportunities and in resolving issues.
  • Actively promote Jmeter on forums and social media platforms eg writing and feeding into blog posts, soliciting discussion etc. Lead other community user events both online and in person.

  • Regularly acquire and evaluate feedback from the community and partners to help improve BlazeMeter. Liaise with the BlazeMeter team to align the direction and requirements of the user community with company needs and goals.

Specifications:

  • Strong load testing, development and specifically Jmeter skills and experience, strong networking and social networking skills, good relationship building abilities, process driven, able to manage multiple work streams, independent, willing to travel, able to communicate well in written form and produce electronic content.

  • Key Qualities: Strong social and writing skills, a good networker with solid technical knowledge of JMeter. Candidates should be process driven, strategically minded and committed. Good public speaking skills a must.
